Online tarot, shuffled fairly
Ask a question, choose a spread and turn the cards over. The deck is reshuffled every time, every card is explained, and if you want, Arkana reads the whole spread together.
Free, no sign-up. Works on phone and desktop.
How a reading works
Ask a question
Write what's on your mind, or simply pick a spread without a question.
Draw the cards
The deck is reshuffled and the cards land face down. Turn them over one by one or all at once.
Read and keep notes
Every card has an upright and a reversed meaning. Save the reading to your journal, add notes, or ask for a full reading.
Nine spreads
From a single card to the Celtic Cross and the year ahead. Every spread has named positions, so you know what each place on the table means.
Past, present, future
The classic three-card reading: where you came from, where you are, where you're heading.
Situation, obstacle, advice
A practical three-card reading for understanding an obstacle and what to do about it.
Celtic Cross
The fullest classic spread: ten cards that look at the situation from every side.
A reading of the whole spread
Card meanings on their own are only the start. The full reading weaves them into one story about your question.
- Reads each card in its position and how the cards relate
- Takes reversals, Major Arcana and the dominant suit into account
- Never changes the cards: it only interprets what was drawn
- A deep reading when the question really matters
This reading speaks of a break that has already happened and the courage you need next. The Tower in the past shows that old structures fell for a reason: they were no longer true.
The Star in the present is the card of recovery. After the shock comes calm, and the sense that starting over is possible…
The cards are shuffled properly
Before every reading the whole deck is shuffled from scratch, more thoroughly than by hand. No favourite cards, no repeating patterns: any of the 78 cards is just as likely to come up, upright or reversed.
What you draw is what you see. Nobody picks the cards for you or bends them to your question. If you want to see for yourself, run the check in the settings: the app shuffles the deck 100,000 times and shows that every card comes up equally often.
Meanings of all 78 tarot cards
Every card has its own page with the upright and reversed meaning, the symbolism of the image, its element and the meaning of its number.
A tarot deck for Claude and other assistants
Connect Arkana to Claude or another assistant over MCP. When asked for a reading, it draws from a fairly shuffled deck instead of making the cards up.

Frequently asked questions
Is an online tarot draw really random?
Yes. Before every reading the whole deck is shuffled from scratch, more thoroughly than by hand, so any of the 78 cards is just as likely to come up, upright or reversed. Nobody picks the cards to suit your question. You can check it yourself in the settings: the app shuffles the deck 100,000 times and shows how often each card came up.
How much does it cost?
Readings, the card library, the journal and learning mode are free, and so is one full reading a day. More full readings come as credits, from €2.99 for 25 credits, with no subscription.
What is the full reading?
Once all cards are face up, you can get a reading of the whole spread, generated automatically from the drawn cards: each card in its position, how the cards relate, and what it says about your question. It never changes or invents cards; it only interprets what was drawn.
What does a reversed card mean?
A reversed card isn't simply the "bad" version. Usually it shows the card's energy blocked, turned inward, delayed or excessive. Every card page describes both the upright and the reversed meaning.
Which spread should I choose?
For an everyday question one card or three cards (past, present, future) is enough. There's a seven-card spread for relationships, Two Paths for decisions, and the Celtic Cross for the fullest picture.
Are my questions stored anywhere?
Readings and notes are kept only in your browser. When you ask for a full reading, the question and cards are passed to our interpretation provider solely to create it; we don't store them.
